Road info

Planning a return trip back to Texas from West Yellowstone ,Mt. middle of July. Would like to take 287 from there down to Rawlins ,Wy. junction I-80. other thought is hwy. 20 to I-15 to I-84 to I-80. Also I-15 to hwy. 89 with loop around alt 89 to north rim grand canyon and down to flagstaff and I- 80. 36ft pusher with tow. Any comments on these roads are very welcome. Decisions, decisions. A flatlander.

All those highways are very good.

Hwy 89 to 89A to 67 and the North Rim of Grand Canyon is an easy drive. Keep in mind that leaving the North Rim you'll have two choices:

- Continue on 89A - you'll have a steep decline as you leave Jacob Lake but with your motorhome you can easily do it. Many RVers and semis do. Then it's a easy drive to 89 and south to Flagstaff and I-40 (not I-80 as you stated).

- OR..after leaving the North Rim, head north to Kanab, UT and pick up Hwy 89 to Page, Arizona and then south on 89 to Flagstaff. No issues except a decline from Jacob Lake to Kanab but not bad.

Thanks, I meant I-40. Have driven through Yellowstone in our tow, but don't seem to remember too many motorhomes. Any comments on park road hwy. 287 ?

287 out of the Tetons is also good for RVers. If you can stop, South Pass City ghost town just south of Lander is very interesting to poke through.
