Gander Mountain parking lot, exit 146. Stop in and tell the manager you're there. They allow coaches to overnight.

Carolina Crossroads (RV Resort) - I95 Exit 171. 415 Wallace Fork Road, Roanoke Rapids. (252) 538-9776 1/2 mile down the road behind the motel (a Hilton I think).
Nice place and only $25 if you arrive after 6PM. I stayed there 3 times last year.

Roanoke Rapids and Roanoke, VA are in very different places. I-81, not I-95 goes near Roanoke, VA.

We park at the Camping World by the Gander Mountain right off 81. They had two or three electric hookups in the parking lot. Unless they have new units blocking them....

I know that this post is late, but the Wal-Mart at Valleyview Mall seems to be a popular place. Also see alot of RVers at the Walmart out on 460 near Blue Ridge.

Valley View Wal-Mart is NOT the place to park. Lots of problems at that store ALL the time. Gander Mtn. Is the place. There is a CW right across the street.
