Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

Hi all, Hope everyone has a great holiday. We would like to visit the Rock and Roll hall of fame this summer and would love some info. We will be traveling from upstate NY in a 33'class A and since I'm not retired yet we will have limited time. Can anyone tell us the best routes and perhaps the nicest places to stay out there. Will probably need an overnight.

Thanks much appreciated

We spent a month in the area and stayed quite a way from the HOF so I can't help with the routes or places to stay. We really enjoyed spending the day in the HOF but be aware they don't allow photos to be taken once you are inside.

Have a good time.

I too can not help you with routes but I will mention one person who has been inducted into the hall.

Robert (BOB) Heil

Kind of strange for a THEATER ORGANIST to get into the Rock and Roll hall of fame, but Bob is a very fine organist... Check him out.
(He has other skills too, those are what got him inducted).

I've had a few chats with him, need to have a few more, these involve those other skills.

I live just outside of CLE. The route is the simplest part. I-90/Ohio Rt.6 drives right passed it. You can see it from the highway. Now RV parking and or staying close to there would be difficult. There is "some" street parking in front of the Hall, but an A will not be accommodated well. Everything else within walking distance is garage parking.

Any available sites for overnight will be at least 15 miles out of town.....

We were there in Oct. they have Bus and RV parking near the Browns stadium, the entrance is the same for the port authority. Go to the HOF website and there is a phone number for parking, the info is in our RV which is now stored 30 miles away, or I would give you the number. The cost for parking was $25.00 The HOF is well worth it, you can get tickets on line also. I made a copy of the parking e-mail and left it on the dash and had no problems.

We saw a classic RV bus there last July. The security guard out front directed them to the lot beyond HOF which is probably that stadium lot. It is parallel to a cargo ship that is on exhibit. The maritime museum and ship are worth the time ... Somewhat better than RR HOF .. But each tells a story worth the visit. The also had Johnny Cash tour bus on the plaza in front open for tours. Despite its set up it was lacking compared to what you find in most As
