Rock Hill

We will be traveling to Rock Hill for a swim meet in mid January, looking for a place to park for Friday and Saturday night? was thinking about the Wal-mart on Highway 901. I was not planning on towing a toad to the event, planned on drive to it and parking during the day.

WalMart AllStays lists your choice as Possible. The WM off of 77 &122 at 2377 Dave Lyle Blvd has said yes in the past and has fuel. If the meet is at Winthrop they look to be about the same distance.

Have a daughter at Winthrop. We usually stay at Andrew Jackson SP. Its about 15-20 minutes from downtown Rock Hill. The campground has recently been renovated with all new plumbing, 50 amp service at each site, the campground road and all sites have been paved. The only negative is no sewer but they do have a dump station. There is a KOA a little north. Ebenezer Park is about 5 minutes out and on the lake. They have sewer, but do not take reservation. You can call the morning of and see what is available.

I would also suggest calling Winthrop. They may have a place they will let you park for a night or two. Our daughter attended a smaller school similar to Winthrop. I had to contact the Campus security dept to get an answer but found they had no problem with parking a few nights.

The Walmart parking lot is meant for a brief stop over to shop and catch a nice nap. I would suggest you get a near by RV campground.

My understanding is a little different than that! Walmart and SAMs will let you park overnight, they do like you to come in a ok it with them.
