Checkout "RVacation", in Selma, NC. It's about 45 miles South of Rocky MT and just off I-95. It's near outlet malls and restaurants. About $35 a night. A good stop-over, while on the way South (or North).

I think Carolina Crossroads is the better campground of the two. They also are a Passport America campground. Very clean and the owners are friendly and helpful.

How about Fort Chiswell RV Campground by I-77 / I-81. It's about a 1/2 mile off the freeway exit. Easy in easy out. We use it as a midway stop for returning from Myrtle beach and NE Ohio.

It's behind a hill which limits the freeway noise.

Thanks guys, we just stayed in Fort Chiswell twice last week, once on way to Tamarack and once on way back. Wonderful campsite. Could stay there forever. Great people, very quiet, good Wi-Fi, pristine facilities.
