Roseville or Rocklin, CA

We're traveling to the area north of Sacramento soon and were looking for recommendations for RV parks in the Rocklin or Roseville area. Our ultimate destination in Citrus Heights but there don't seem to be any RV parks any closer than Roseville or Rocklin.

We've stayed in both Rocklin and Roseville and there is no question that Roseville is the much better option. It is a fairgrounds and therefore do not expect a bunch of fancy amenities. It is a safe secure location and the manager of the park is a good guy. Stay in the big field if you can as the smallish CG section can be cramped.

It is first come first served and you pay at the FG office.

There is no place in the Sacramento metro area worth staying in!! For being the capital of California it's a joke!!

I haven't stayed there, but the reviews for the Mark J RV Park seem to be good as do the pictures.

While it is not 'fancy' and may not be for everyone, try the Loomis RV park. We have stayed there many times over the last 15-20 years. We have had good sites with full hook up and plenty of room to park our TOAD. The wi-fi is not the greatest but we could handle that. We have used Loomis RV park as a place to have the MH while visiting family/friends that were in the area.

Well Darn It

I thought I posted on this forum, the list of potential RV Parks that we are considering for our California trip. Sadly, I cannot find it anywhere so here goes. I'm leaving out the last part of the trip due to the great suggestions in this thread for the area around Citrus Heights/Roseville/Rocklin.

Night 1: Van Horn, TX - Van Horn RV Park
Night 2: Lifestyle RV Park - Wilcox AZ
Night 3: Indian Waters - Indio. CA
Night 4: Lost Hills - Lost Hills/Atascadero, CA

Advice? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Jackson Rancheria is great. Stayed there for two weeks in March. Be sure to stop at the Casino and get a players club card before you check in.
