Rust Damage?

I am considering a Workamper job in the Hammond area of Oregon very near the Pacific coast.
I am familiar with the rust damage living on the Texas gulf coast around Port A, but have never been to the Oregon coast.
Any experiences?

There is corrosion on the coast, anywhere salt water and ocean air occur!! Don't know how bad it actually is down in TX, but when we moved here from Minnysoda, we felt at home going to the Oregon coast from Salem and seeing the familiar holes in cars and the corroded sinks and faucets in older vacation rentals!!!

You don't have to go very far inland to cut down a bunch on the salt effect. Lots of older vehicles and stuff in the Willamette Valley!!

Only difference you are going to see on the Oregon coast vs Texas coast is that it is a lot cooler in Oregon, and there are hills. Salt is salt and does what it does to vehicles.
