Rv accomodation near lakes for fishing

We've stayed at Lake Camanche, Lake Pardee, Lake Don Pedro and Lake Tulloch, all in California. I fish quite a lot at Lake Amador, but the sites leave a lot to be desired. However, I'm looking for new spots that have fishing and rv sites. My rig is 35'. Any recommendations? Currently I have a 17' boat and a float tube. Don't tell my wife, but I'm also looking at a Hobie fishing kayak...

There is a book out that lists Army Corp of Engineers Campgrounds, which are on lakes where they have installed Dams. I have a copy and there are lots of places in California where you could get your 35 footer in and out.

I think I got the book on Amazon.com

We stayed at Camp James in Kernville along the Kern River recently. In the upper section you get sewer, electric, water and TV, large sites and concrete patios. There is also a wooden deck to look over a small stream below. You can also get sites to accomodate large rigs along the river but don't get the sewer hookups. The river gets stocked with trout so there is always something to catch. Also, you are near Lake Isabella which has a lot of fishing.

My wife and I recently stayed at Duck Rv Fishing Park in Rio vista, CA. We'd passed this place for years and finally decided to stay there. Took all of 15 minutes to get there from the rv storage facility. Nice, clean level sits with full hook ups. Our site was near one of the six lighted fishing piers on the deltaClick image for larger version
