RV camping near SW offroad areas, Winter 2015-16

We will be heading west in early January '16 with plans to spend 2-3 months enjoying a warm winter in the Southwest states. We will be camping in our Cyclone 3110 Toyhauler and carrying our Polaris RZR 900 UTV.

We expect to move around a number of times while in the SW but try to stay for a couple of weeks in most places. We expect to spend time in NM, NV, CA, and AZ but locations will depend a lot on winter weather.

Our primary interest is finding locations where we can camp, with facilities, close to interesting offroad & trail areas for riding the RZR in a variety of terrains.

Our RZR is licensed as street legal and hopefully can be ridden on some highways to travel from campground to trailhead.

Sure would like to hear from folks with similar interests or insight into places to consider and any other related suggestions... Also, dont hesitate to send a PM or email with materials or info.

Thanks .....
Jack (in Tennessee)

I can help you. I have many locations to explore in AZ as I have lived here for 45 years. I have dirt bikes, quads and now 4x4. Why do you need to camp with facilities? Boondocking is much cheaper. PM me if you want ideas. Too many to post here.

Parker AZ along the Colorado River is great for off road. You can drive on streets in AZ if licensed. Be sure to be there for the Parker 425 off road race in February.

Patagonia, AZ -

Patagonia RV Park - Patagonia Arizona RV Park

Best internet of any RV park I have stayed at.

Hundreds of miles of dirt roads.

We rode motorcycles - here is a report: AZ RRR Report [mctourer 53875.1]

I'll definitely be in touch as we will be boondocking for several days at a time near major offroad riding areas...
