RV Lot purchase with a Casita

Not sure if this in the right forum but here goes. Looking to purchase an RV lot with a Casita or the possibility of having one. We're considering the Southeast and Southwest.Don't want to stay in Texas. I know this sounds kind of vague but we're finding some places are selling lots but just don't market them on the internet for some reason.Any suggestions or leads would be appreciated.

I have just googled “RV lots for sale” for a particular area and all kinds of places come. I know Outdoor Resorts in Palm Springs area and there is another place in Lake Havasu. The name in havasu escapes me at the momen5 though

The name of the resort in Lake Havasu City, AZ. is Havasu RV Resort. Very nice facility. The website address is www.havasurvresort.com. I just recently saw a lot for sale there but the I do not remember the price. If my memory serves me right, which sometimes it doesn't, I think the price was $28,500.00

Wife and I just purchased a lot with casita and covered outdoor kitchen area on a little golf course in Surprise AZ called Happy Trails. Nice friendly community lots of pools, pickle ball courts and all the activities. Close in to anything you could want or need in the Phoenix area. Deaded property which is hard to find, many places there is a monthly rental or lifestyle fee where you don't own the property.

Check with me in a year or two and I will let you know if it was a good move or not.

Look at Outdoor Resorts, Motorcoach Country Club and Desert Shores all in Indio. Most of these places have exclusive listing agreements and don’t show up on the web except at the park web pages.

Most are sold by word of mouth or by dealer recommendations.

There are five parks like you are looking for in the Orange Beach- Gulf Shores coastal Alabama area. Heritage Motorcoach Resort, Buena Vista RV Resort, Bella Terra MC Resort, Lake Osprey RV Resort, and Terry Cove MC Resort. Terry Cove, Heritage, and Bella Terra are Class A only but the other two are open to other types of RVs. We own in Terry Cove and rented at Heritage for years and both are great parks. Each of the five have something different to offer as far as location and amenities but all are very nice.

RV Lot purchase with a Casita

We are in a RV cooperative here in Quartzsite for our first full winter. We bought 3 years ago and are currently building a casita on our lot, after board approval and a city permit.

Or original cost was $7500 for a membership and a 99 year lease, which can be passed on to our heirs. We have since laid a 36x26 pad and built a 36x16 shed, plus a 36x10’ covered patio with the help of community members. If you think you might be interested, be prepared to contribute something to the community eg labor of some type. Our dues this year were $550 for water, sewer, 20 channels of CATV and 30A hookup. We pay $0.16/kWh. Our annual dues are so low because when something needs fixed, we fix it.

There are two lots available in the park with concrete pads and maybe a shed, for $6500 or less.

The Palms RV resort in Yuma Arizona. I stayed there for a few days once and now get about an email a week from them. Lots sell from about $40,000 and up. Casitas all over the place so they are available. Lots that have a casita (nice ones - not a small park model style) range from about $140,000 to $200,000 or so.

Seems like a very nice place, live entertainment, pretty new and nice facilities. Right up there with the nicest parks I have seen. I can't do a fair comparison to other parks as I am not interested is such a place - just passing on a potential lead for you.

For the southeast, some options that come to mind are: Bluewater Key , Aztec RV , Pelican lakes, Mt Olive Shores

Not the case with either place I mentioned.
