RV Park between Bakersfield and Sac. CA?
Hi All,
I'm looking for an RV park for an overnight stay between Bakersfield and Sacramento, preferrably not far off of I-5, but we can take 99 too if that seems a better idea. Something about halfway, or a little closer to Sac would be better than closer to Bakersfield. Just want someplace fairly clean, safe and with enough room for our 41' motorhome to get in and out easily. Ammenities, even hookups, aren't that important. Even a casino that allows overnight parking could work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

We just went up that way 3 weeks ago and stayed in Chowchilla at the Lakes RV resort ( The Lakes RV & Golf Resort), This is a VERY nice place and the rates weren't to bad either. DO NOT go to the Arena RV Park, it is at best a 3 out of 10, the power is questionable, and al dirt spots.
The trip up 99 has more to see, the 5 is just a long boring road, although it is a smoother ride.
Good Luck
Dennis

There are a whole bunch of Truck stops on I5 north. Buttonwillow exit, Lost hills exit, Santa nella has two (rotton robbies) on west side would be the better one, Lodi has two, plus there are others I can,t remember? Don,t know of any casinos.

We just spent 1 night at Santa Nella RV Park. Close to restaurants if you want and we paid $23 for the night.

JUST A THOUGHT. I have trailer life's cd on my laptop and have found it very useful on trips. I also have a GPS plugged into my laptop so it shows the RV Parks near were you are on the trailer life maps.
I know you are looking for suggestions, and this has nothing to do with what you are asking, but I thought I would throw this in for anyone that doesn't know this little trick.

On I 5 Closer to Sacramento is Kitt Fox RV park in Patterson Ca about a mile off I 5 and about 80 miles to SAC. Further up the road in Lodi is Flags RV Park at the junction of Ca 12 (Flying J in the neighborhood) about 40 miles from Sac.
On 99 in French Camp is the French Camp RV park less than a mile from 99 and about 50 miles to Sac.

Thank you for all the suggestions. We got as far as Bakersfield today, so we are now hoping to go all the way to Sacramento tomorrow. But I will file all these suggestions away for future use.
