RV park, Georgia near I-95

If all goes as planned we will leave Lazy Days Tampa location Saturday afternoon/evening with our new to us MH. DW will be driving our pickup back home, (taking it to deliver our trade) following me. Figured we will get 3-4 hours of the 8 hour drive done for home on Saturday, get the rest done Sunday.

Anyone suggest a nice park to stay in overnight along I-95 in Georgia?

Thanks, L.

I can only vouch for this park in SC (I know it's not GA, but just a bit north of the state line). I stayed there for a quick overnight. Large sites, right off I-95 near Walterboro, SC. All pull-thru sites, too. Rates - New Green Acres RV Park - Walterboro, South Carolina

We've stayed at the KOA in Kingsland, and also the KOA just south of Savannah. Both very nice.

I have stayed at the KOA in Kingsland, and I agree that it is very nice - they will even deliver Barbecue or pizza to your site. The Georgia border is about as far as you will get in 3 or 4 hours from Tampa.

Yep, Google says 3 hours 59 mins from Seffner to Kingsland. Like having the other options as well. If all goes smoothly we could be ahead of schedule and get a little closer to home.

Thanks all, good stuff.

Do not know where you plan on stopping for the night but if it is near Exit 49

I am parked in Cathead Creek RV park 18 Pull through sites, one or two tent. and 5 back in.. Park does fill up from time to time but has open sites (Several) as I type.. 30/night less with Good Sam's or AAA. Wide, Full hookup including cable TV, Good Wi-Fi,, NO TREES If you happen to be here Sunday Morning a Cowboy Church is on the campus.

Just down the road (3 miles) next to the freeway is Inland Harbor. Can not list prices.. TREES, pull throughs and full hookup.

9 miles farther down the freeway is Lake Harmony and McIntosh Lake.. I have spent one night in McIntosh Lake.. Pull through (They have a few) easy in/out, fair Wi-Fi at the time (may have been upgraded since) and reasonable rate (At the time) The Time was Oct. 2011.
Lake Harmony I would not recommend to you at this time.. (Physical reasons) Perhaps in a couple of years. I just moved a camper in last week (Only time I've been in the park) and I do not feel it would be a good place for a 1st Trip... (park layout issues including rough roads). Both of these are nust north of Exit 58 200 yards apart.

Beyond that I have not parked in GA

If you want to spend a day or two looking over an interesting island with lots of "Rich House Tours" (Well rich at one time). Jekyll Island has an RV park.

We stay at exit 1 in Ga....at this exit are 2 truck stops for fuel (diesel or gas) at excellent prices.....we stay at Country Oaks Campground..a Good Sam Park..easy on and off.......also can walk to the BBQ rest that is next door....closer to the exit than the KOA...Chuck

Another vote for Country Oaks, small place but nice people. Also KOA north in Kingsland is right around the corner, another nice spot with free breakfast!

X6 Last I checked it was a 10-10-10 park. I was there for two nights last week. Super clean and a nice lake.
