FHU is a challenge. Stone Mountain may be your best bet. Pushing your 45 min. limit but in Adairsville there is Harvest Moon. Can't reccomend anything to the south within 45 minutes. LOL OH yes there is Jones RV up I85...it looks sort of like a trailer park but many like to stay there because of it's location.

Second to Stone Mountain as we've stayed there. You may have already checked here:

Thanks for your replies. Looks like Stone Mountain my be the only solution ? RV PARKS seem to be in short supply in this area. Coming from Charleston SC heading west toward Dallas

I have stayed here many times, it is basic but has full hookups and is convenient.

Stone mountain great park, ask for the new section or the loop a little more but you get cable and a deck with a grill and it's open for a satellite the others are not bad just a lot of trees.

We stayed at Jones for 2 nights this year. It is nothing to write home about but they have pull-throughs and it is close. No amenities. Not the best area so keep things buttoned up. Friendly staff.
