rv park in cinicinnati

We are taking a long rv trip thus summer and we are hoping to stop in cincinnati on the way hoke to watch the cardinals play the reds. I am struggling to find a decent park while there that isn't a long ways from downtown. Any suggestions? Finding one with decent reviews has been tough. I am traveling with my two sons ages 7 and 9. Thanks.

I'd recommend Winton Woods County Park. Hamilton County Park District - It's Great Outdoors! I worked 30 years in the surrounding school district and it's a great park. Downtown is about 20-25 minutes away.

East of town is Steamboat Bend County Park (Part of Woodland Mounds County Park) It is 20 minutes east of town on U.S. 52. Easy access to the Red's ball park.

South of Cincinnati is Big Bone Lick State Park (KY) and is interesting with a small museum and lots to interest kids. Big Bone Lick

I hope you enjoy your stay in Cincinnati.
Big Bone Lick is about 30 minutes south of downtown.

There are no closer commercial campgrounds except Mobile Home parks that allow short time stays.

In 11' we stayed at Stonelick State Park just east of Cincinnati. It is a small park with 115 sites. It was less than a 30 minute drive to the Cincinnati Zoo. We used it for a home base for the Zoo, Kings Island and the Air Force Museum in Dayton back in 2011. Here is a photo gallery of that park Stonelick

Over-all most sites are level and the electric was good. We are going back there in a few weeks. For some reason the park, even being that close to downtown Cinci...doesn't fill up that fast.

Stonelick is 35 miles from Downtown and not an easy access. East Fork Lake State Park is another option, easy access but 27 miles from Downtown. Ohio State Parks - East Fork State Park

Steamboat Bend is 13 miles, Winton Woods 17 miles.

I concur with Bob's recommendations but due to high demand for Winton Woods I would make my reservations early. Hope you enjoy your stay in Cincinnati!
