RV Park in Pensacola

Looking to stay in Pensacola in December with our 30ft 5th wheel. Have looked at RV reviews and still can't make up my mind where to stay. Will be there 3 days with one day to visit the Navy museum. Any ideas on a park?

Thank you, Tom

Pelican Palms in Milton, Fl. We stayed there several years ago and commuted to the museum. It was a decent campground with reasonable prices.

A really nice, commercial RV park, in a really nice neighborhood, but close to restaurants, stores, etc., is Pensacola RV park:
Pensacola RV Park
It's about 25 minutes from the Navy Aviation Museum. A very easy drive, however.

Big Lagoon State Park is even closer to the museum and beaches. It's quite nice, but doesn't have sewer hook-ups at the sites.

If you're active or retired military or Department of Defense civilian, Blue Angel Navy Recreation Park is hard to beat. Sites available with full hook-ups, right on the water of perdido bay, and very low price:

We just returned from Pensacola last month.
We've stayed @ Pensacola RV Park & Big Lagoon SP. The owner of Pensacola RV Park is super. The sites are a little close for us, but have FHU.
Big Lagoon SP is "just around the corner" from the Naval Museum. We have a few special sites that we like. Site 56 is close to the shower and is very level, although one side has loose sand. site 65 is very deep and not too far from the shower.
If neither of these sites are open you might try site 61. It's not as deep as 65 but still a nice site.
Have fun in Pensacola.

We go up that way every few months. You might want to try Fowley Al.
Its only 30 miles outside of Pensacola but a fantastic area. We have stayed their at Anchors Away which is a really nice private park. We presently stay at Bella Terra which I would highly recommend EXCEPT it is a class A only park.

Guess I'm a bit late to this thread. However, the information may prove valuable for those staying in the area. Go to The Farmers Opry | Chumuckla's Premier Restaurant and Entertainment Venue and consider this place. Quite and private CG right next to some excellent entertainment.
