RV Park in Scottsdale Area

Headed to the Phoenix, Scottsdale area in feb.lookin to stay for 12 days at a RV park. Can anyone advise on where? Then again what you think about the great big parks vs smaller ones. Can't say we sit around the RV alot when we go places. Like to go out, bars, dancing, having fun, good places to eat ect. Thanks

If you have a towed or use ride sharing you may want to look at the Mesa and Apache Junction areas where there are many parks.

If you've never been to the greater Phoenix area you'll find that it is HUGE. Is there any specific things you want to do while there? Baseball games, museums.... or more nature things including hiking. That will make a difference as to where to stay.

Our daughter lives in the area and we always stayed at one of the Maricopa County park campgrounds or at Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction. We've stayed at Usery, McDowell Mtn., Lake Pleasant, White Tanks and Cave Creek. We hosted at Lost Dutchman and spent a lot of time there. We like those kinds of parks and enjoy hiking and they are awesome. February is extremely popular so you need reservations as the word is out on these parks. You might have to split up to two parks but that's a good idea.... less driving to explore different parts of the area. I can't help with regular RV parks as we don't stay in those places. Good luck!

I lived in Phoenix for 34 years. Areas near Scottsdale would include Tempe, Mesa, East Phoenix, and possibly Carefree, CaveCreek, Apache Junction and Fountain Hills. Of these Mesa and Apache Junction probably have the most RV parks.

If you are unfamiliar with a park, I'd check it out on Google Earth prior to making a reservation.

Good Luck, Feb is high tourist season.

Scottsdale is a upscale area, I don’t think any parks there. Surrounding cities have hundreds of parks but Feb is prime season. The most popular ones were booked a year ago. You need to start searching.

Eagle View RV Resort, at Fort McDowell. Right by a nice casino. An easy drive to anywhere in Scottsdale.....or easy access to any other part of the Valley.
