Live in Mansfield and I don't like to go to Dallas, but unless you want to drive from Mill Creek RV ranch in Canton, Tx Arlington or Cedar Hill is your best bet...

The Vineyards in Grapevine and most of the Corps parks around the lake are UNDER water...

PS...Was going to go to the Vineyards but they are having some major flooding issues and they are not 100% sure when they will re-open.

I recall from a few years ago someone saying that at Cedar Hill SP, they lock the gate at night and you can't go in or out. A lot of places will give you a gate code, but this one was an exception.

If your schedule might conflict with that, you should confirm what they do.

And be aware that in addition to camping fees in Texas state parks, you also have to pay the daily fee for each individual.

City of Lewisville operates a campground on Lake Lewisville. Lake park is the name on the south side of lake. Located north of Dallas off of I35, but probably the best price around. 50 amp site with water, only $18 per night and if you are over 60 $9.00 per night. Right on the lake, with pine trees, laundry, dump station, 2 bathhouses, and very good wifi. The 30 amp sites are only $16 per night and $8 for seniors.

We recently stayed at Destiny Dallas Rv park which is quite nice and then tried Shady creek I think in Aubrey which is better but it's a fair way from Dallas
Trouble is Vineyards being closed means everything else is second best.
Based on the current lake heights I'll think you will find they are all still inundated.
Visited beloved Vineyards last week and the water level is still at the front gate😫

Does anyone have any information concerning Plantation RV Park? I know they were devastated by the tornado, but do they plan to rebuild? And if so, is there a time frame for them to resume operations?
