If you just want a safe place to pull over for the night, there is a Safety Rest Area on I35 just south of Salado around mm283. Good clean rest rooms. Maybe 20 miles north of Georgetown. Remember if going thru Austin that traffic is a bear during rush hours and often at other times too. Happy trails.

if you are looking for a quick overnight stay try Old Settlers Park in RoundRock, Tx. It is a basic park. Gravel sites with full hookups. The last time we stayed there for an event at the adjacent park the cost was $26 per night. Payment was cash or check and was on the honor system.

Two COE parks Jim Hogg, and Cedar Breaks both not too far off I35. Both are nice.

We've stayed at both East View and at Cedar Breaks. East View is nice and off the interstate far enough to be quiet. Cedar Breaks is a COE park and is really nice except only 30 amp if my memory is correct.

We frequently stay at New Life when we are in the area. Clean, safe, full 50 amp hook-ups, and nice people. Easy access to both I-35 and 130 highways. I-35 traffic thru Austin can be tough any time of day. Even Sunday afternoon. 130 is a toll road, but well worth the cost.

We spent two nights at Berry Springs last January. Nice place. I'd stay there again..
