there is a nice C.O.E. called "Lake Allatoona", just north of Marietta. Also Red Top Mtn. state park.

I recently camped in McKinney Camp Ground ( COE ). It's just North of Marrietta and in the same area as Red Top Mountain. I camped in Red Top last year but found McKinney more big rig friendly.

We just returned from that area. This time we stayed at Clark Creek North site 16. This is a COE park in Acworth, GA with water and 50 amp service. We have a 40 DP towing an Accord on a dolly. The park is nice, all water front but not big rig friendly. Site 16 is in the bottom of a valley. Have stayed at Red Top Mountain SP twice. There are about 10 sites that are pull through but again kind of tight to maneuver.

We were at Red Top a few months ago and saw a 40ft Class A do a lot of damage to the rear storage area as he was pulling out. The pull thru sites are not big rig friendly, I have a 30ft 5th wheel and had a hard time picking a site that I felt comfortable getting in and out. If you go there eat at the Appalachian Grill and have the Slammin Catfish, yum!
