RV park near Mobile AL and Biloxi MS

Merry Christmas everybody,

We are planning a trip to visit Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile AL and then visit Biloxi MS.

I am having trouble finding an RV park central to both places. The destinations are about 60 miles apart.

I am thinking we may be better off staying close to each location, what do you think?

Hope everybody has a great day!

I don't know about Mobile, but we stayed at the Majestic Oaks RV Park in Biloxi year before last and it was very nice. The spaces are large, concrete and the park is well maintained. It's located on Pass Road, just west of Keesler Air Force Base and less than 1/4 mile from the beach. Very nice people running it also. Looking at RVParkReviews (my DW's bible) there are several parks between the two cities, but I can't vouch for any of them.

Just my opinion, others may chime in.

There is a nice state park campground just a few miles across the causeway from battleship park, the name escapes me right now. A lot of the casinos in Biloxi have RV parks so if it was me, I would stay in both places and be close to whatever I was visiting. Meaher State Park is the name of it. There is some really good restaurants on the causeway too.

I live in Spanish Fort, Alabama which is just across the causeway from Mobile. Meaher State Park is the place to stay. Minutes from Battleship and a water view. If you'd prefer a quieter wooded location head to Blakeley State Park which is only an additional 6 miles away.

I can't recall where I stayed in Biloxi but it was just across from the beach. Lots of parks there but most have very small sites.

Have fun, the battleship is one of our favorite places to bring our visiting friends and family!

Check out Hollywood Casino in Bay St Louis MS. Fine RV park on casino grounds. Nice little town also, especially "old town".

Thought I'd look up the new campground at Boomtown Biloxi. Website says brand new.
Anyone been to this campground?
What I thought was weird is that their link has pictures of the campground at Hollywood Casino in Bay St Louis, been there a bunch of times and have always enjoyed our stay.

We drove by the 1st week of December - but the roads around Boomtown were all torn up (being worked on - or new drainage system going in). So we didn't stop and look. We stayed at Majestic Oaks. Tight for 45ft MH - but doable.
