We stayed at the New Orleans West KOA twice this year. Good security, far enough away from N.O. to be quiet, but close enough for day trips. They provide a shuttle to downtown N.O. if you don't want to drive. Good restaurants and shopping nearby, but reasonable traffic - Unlike Downtown.

This RV resort in New Orleans seems to be popular on other forums:

French Quarter RV Resort - Location

In Las Vegas we stayed at this RV resort and we highly recommend it:

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort

Oasis in Las Vegas is our usual stop. Sam's Town RV is a lovely fully paved (parking lot) full hookup park with a nice but small pool and about 200 yards walk to the Sam's Town Casino. Nice casino. But it is a drive to the strip, though they have a shuttle. Circus Circus is right on the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd), also a fully paved (parking lot) full hookup park with pool and access to the casino adjacent. Enjoy

Oasis is nice in Vegas; we'll probably stay there mid Sept before it gets too cold.

What Jon said on both places. We stayed at Poncetrain Landing RV Park when we went to NO, but I wished we had stayed at French Quarter, I have friends that stay there all the time. If you want a nice park just west of Baton Rouge, try Cajun Palms RV, it's a real nice park with lots of activities.

X2

We've stayed at both and would do so again.

The French Qtr is (or was) a Passport America park so you can stay for a couple days at half price... but it's still pretty pricey... located only a couple of blocks from Bourbon St. Security inside the park is good.

We stay at the French Quarter in New Orleans. Very nice but you hear a lot of sirens.

Circus Circus is where we stay in Las Vegas...nothing special but you can walk to everything you want to see.

For the money, Sam's Town is your best bet in LV IMO. Decent rates, decent casino, and really not far from the strip which is about 5 miles away. Have never stayed, but friends tell me that Bayou Signette state park is a great deal and very close to NOLA.

Just finished spending 10 days in Vegas, specifically the FAMCAMO at Nellis AFB. If you qualify, I highly recommend it for price, comfort, and convenience.
