In some winters we boondock on the beach.
See: Port Aransas
There is a city owned campground right over the dunes.
We go there as necessary dump and get water, (and sometimes spend the night).

We have stayed several times at the Nueces County RV park , I. B. Magee, on Mustang Island, right next to the town of Port Aransas. The park is just south of the main shipping channel . . . fun to watch the freighters and oilers go in and out. One time saw a giant super aircraft carrier heading in to the Navy base. You have to watch closely . . . they move so quietly!

We have stayed at the IB Magee park a couple of times and it is great.

We have also stayed at Gulf Waters RV Resort and really like it. Gulf Waters RV Resort Luxury RV camping on the Gulf of Mexico

Mentioned is the county park, off Beach Ave. Views maybe thru the opening in the dunes. But you can boondock along the jetties and in a small area there along the channel.

If you stop and buy the Port Aransas Beach parking permit, then you can boondock from the fishing pier south anywhere along the beach for the next 7 miles. There are parking pilings along the first couple of miles to control access, keeping vehicles away from the water. Further south they stop and you can carefully get closer to the water.

Gulf Waters is the nicest and most expensive RV park, with a boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. North of Gulf Waters is Pioneer RV, again with a boardwalk to the beach.

On The Beach RV is the closest full hook up place, and a very short walk to the beach. They have a few ocean view spots along their east side.
