We stayed at Outdoor Resort just outside Gatlinburg two yrs ago. Wonderful park with a creek running thru it. Very nice, clean park and we really enjoyed being outside of busy Gatlinburg...tho we did go into town everyday. The lady at the reception desk told us about a fund raiser at a local Fire Dept on the Friday night we were in town...pig roast, long story short, we went, had a blast, spoke with a lot of locals and found some neat places to go. Look up Outdoor Resort on RV park reviews...beautiful setting.
Have fun!

Twin Creeks C.G. is very nice. Also, the trolley runs right by the campground so you don't have to take your vehicle into town and find a parking place.

This summer we stayed at Smokie Bear Campground. Its about 15 minutes outside of Gatlinburg and very quiet. The owners are very personable and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The Pool is new and the site I had was level but some were not as much. It is family oriented and fit my 32 ft class a and toad nicely. I felt safe here.

Thanks for the info. We are in the area now without our MH so we are scouting the campgrounds. We had already booked a cabin for this trip before we bought our MH. EVERYTHING IS REALLY CROWDED!!!

Hi,
We were in Pigeon Forge last month and stayed at Creekside CG and it is well maintained and really friendly staff. You will definitely have to make Res.It gets growded this time of the year. This CG also has a trolley that comes thru the CG so you don't have to fight the traffic.Good Luck and Safe travels.

We usually stay at River Plantation and will be checking in there tomorrow. IRV2's rally was held there a couple years ago. Most parks in the area are nice and I would stay in most of them. We stayed at Outdoor Resorts for years, very nice park only downside is it is approx 12 miles north of Gatlinburg and a little difficult to get to.

2x for Twin Creak! We have been here since Tuesday and leaving in the morning :-(. We are enjoying our last campfire of the trip as I type. Clean showers, nice sites, and pretty quiet.

X3 for RP. We held the 2006 & 2012 iRV2 National Rallies there. If you can, get the back in's next to the river. Very nice.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Just down the street from Twin Creeks is Camping in the Smoky's campground Very basic campground, large sites, very clean rest / shower house, on the trolly route with a stop right out front, Lower priced than the others.

4x for Twin Creek. We are here now and leaving on Thursday. We have been staying here two or three times a year since 1996.
