RV Park Reviews website upgrade scheduled for 11/6

Many of you are aware that, for the past several months, work has been ongoing to create a modernized, improved version of the RVParkReviews.com website. This effort took a bit longer than expected (what software project doesn't?) but we're ready to go live this Friday (11/6). Here's a portion of what was posted on the RVParkReviews user forum:

As you may be aware, we have been working to update the reviews page and this Thursday Nov 6 we are going to switch to the new look and interface. This is a substantial rewrite and so to get all content migrated we will be offline for about 24 hours. During that time you can watch for progress updates on the RVPR facebook page.

Once the new site is up there will still be tweaks to be made but our goal is to keep downtime to a minimum and so as soon and the site is navigable we will be back. We ask you to bear with us once the new site is up as we work through bugs and tweaks. Having members input on any bugs will make this process much faster and we're confident that most of them should be worked out fairly quickly.

This major code rewrite should position us to add new features in the next few months that should be great additions. New features will include the ability to upload images with reviews, a new mobile platform, new profile features and functions and more privacy controls.

We're really exited to finally be updating the site and the site team has been busy offering input and advice during the development process.

We hope everyone enjoys the appearance and increased functionality of the new website. Other enhancements, including a phone app, will go live over the next several months.

Joel (Docj)

I had no problems with the soon to be old software, but, looking forward to seeing and using the new. Nice and informative website you have. Thanks for giving RV'ers a place to brag about great sites and warn of poor sites.

Thanks for your efforts. I use the site extensively. Hope the mobile platform works for the Ipad, as that's what I use most when traveling. I look forward to seeing the updated site.

Looks nice. Clean & easy to understand icons. THANKS! to all who put countless hours into the upgrade. I know this was a MAJOR remodel.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I really like the navigation and layout.
I recommend adding 'Dump Station' under 'Hookups & Connectivity'.
Reason - if there are no Sewer Hook-ups, it would be nice to know if there was a dump station (without having to search for the info)

Did you click on "more details"? I thought the dump station was on the expanded list. I'd check but the system appears to have just crashed. Oh, well, that's par for the course on Day 1!

All I get, when trying to log on, is this:

Error in exception handler.

EDIT - The issue resolved, and I can now get to the site. Nice work!

Dump station is definitely on the list of amenities if you look at the entire list.
