We stayed at the Lubbock KOA on the way from Roswell, NM to Dallas, TX two summers ago. Wasn't a bad place with mostly pull through sites and the prerequisite train track across the street. There are several others around Lubbock that we didn't stay at - Lubbock RV Park, Mesa Verda RV Park and Loop 289 RV Park. However we did pass Mesa Verde on Route 62 and it looked pretty nice.
Don't know about Wichita Falls, Tx campgrounds but a quick Google search showed two in town - Wichita Falls RV park and Wichita Bend RV plus a Wichita Falls KOA way out of town.

If you get around Amarillo, Palo Duro state Park is about 10 miles east of Canyon Texas. 20-30$. Water and electricity. Nice park too. Canyon is about 30 south or Amarillo. Most Texas parks are a good bet and not crowded this time of year. At Minerals Wells just off I 30 is a very nice state Park. Big Walmart close also.
Thank you. We just pulled in to Wichita Fall and found a Jellystone park. It is really nice! We will head to Lubbock tomorrow to watch our Red Raiders play basketball then back home to Fort Worth.
If you're just passing through town, then I would suggest staying at Coyote Ranch, which is now a Jellystone RV park. It's pretty nice and about 4 miles from downtown.
Wichita Falls RV park is in town, and it's an older park that is nice as well.
