RV Parking at Grand Canyon North Rim
Hi, folks. Not looking for info on camping, looking for info on RV parking at the North Rim. Just looking to drive in, spend an hour or two, and leave. Don't have a toad so parking and driving in isn't an option.

Practically, there is none. Every road and parking lot is congested during warm weather when school is out. It's hard to find a parking spot for my dually truck.
You have an option though, park just outside the South entrance and rent a car. You might arrive before 8 AM and find a parking spot large enough for your MH and ride the free trolley bus.

The North Rim is much less visited than the South Rim so I don't think you will have a problem parking. There is only one main parking lot but it does have some dedicated rv/bus spaces.

You'll love it. Parking no problem. Most sightseeing is walking in one area.

Check to see if the road is clear by calling the park. It is snowed-in until at least early summer.

Here's some information on the North Rim which opens May 15. You might want to call the Lodge which is where the biggest parking lot is and ask about RV parking for a short time. Good luck!

Duhhh, I missed that, thanks. There is a large parking lot at the N. rim, and dry camping available.

IIRC, the North rim has quite a few 'pull offs' at most of the points of interest. Some of the pull offs/lots had a few RVs and buses parked in them. We liked the North much more than the South...higher elevation(cooler), the drive to the rim is a lot more scenic, less traveled and just as spectacular.

The scenic pull-offs would be a good option but they're far from the Lodge and main area which has an awesome short trail from the Lodge along the canyon rim. It would be a shame to miss it. It would really be good if you could park at the Lodge parking lot and then do the scenic viewpoints as you drive.
We love the North Rim, also. It's a lot cooler in summer, less congested and is a very peaceful place. Lots of nice boondocking spots just outside the entrance gate and if you happen to score a site at DeMotte national forest campground right next to a main boondocking road at the same spot, DeMotte is a pleasant place to stay. The small campground at the North Rim itself is usually full.
You get many more views from the South Rim which we've done often and it's the best place to see the canyon for a first-time visitor but it's way too crowded in the summer months.
