Anyone stayed in an RV park in the San Juan Bautista, Ca. area?

I've looked some up on line and in the AAA book.

So far...

1. Mission Farms RV Park

2. BetaBel RV Park (No pets or small pets only depending on source. No explanation on their website and phone wasn't answered).

3. Cabana RV Park (Appears to be a membership only park).

Any experiences or recomendations?

Thanks,
Ed

We stayed at Betabel about 1 1/2 years ago and it was very nice. The newer section was rather like a paved parking lot with the sites clearly marked, each with full hookups. The older section had concrete pull thrus and shrubs between sites.

We had our two little dogs, under 14 lbs., with us, but they may have changed the rules since then.

In addition to those you've looked up, there are more:
McAlpine Lake & RV Park, (831) 623-4263, about a 1/4 mile north of San Juan-Hollister Road turn-off.
Monterey Vacation RV Park, mvrvp@pacbell.net, (831) 726-9118, about 1/2 mile south of San Juan-Hollister Road turn-off.

I looked at them when we lived in San Jose, but never stayed there.

Isn't that something!

I had a flu bug about the time that started. Had me wondering for a day!

If you stay at Mission Farm and a gal named Mary is working in the office, tell her Hi from her cousin Don. Haven't seen her in years...

Cabana Holiday. We have not stayed there, but have driven through it in our car to check it out. It is on the north side of Salinas right on HWY 101 and the hwy to Monterey. The spaces are the narrowest we have ever seen, with no way to open slides due to tall hedges. Other spaces are very short and not long enough for anything over 35' (maybe less). There were a couple of spaces on one end that might fit a longer coach. It is right on the side of HWY 101, so there is lots of traffic noise.

Don't know where you are planning to visit, but there is a nice, newish park in Moss Landing, which is just a short drive west of 101. Very large spaces with grass between.

How is Mission Farms? Is it nice, are the sites decent size, etc.?

If we stay there I will let Mary know.

I am looking for a decent place to stay for one night while enroute to Morro Bay.

What is the name of the park in Moss Landing and do they allow dogs?

Here is the link:http://www.mosslandingrvpark.com/index.html

We drove through the park. It is not our style, lots of concrete, but it is a good place to stay for a visit or overnight. It seemed very clean and tidy with room for slides.
