RV parks in Yuma, AZ

Does anyone know of a reasonable park in Yuma, Az? We stayed there two years ago, most all of the parks have raised their rates considerably. I'm talking from $450 to $800 a month. Of course, this is during Jan., Feb., and March. We would like a pool, Internet access and of course, cable TV. Any good recommendations would be appreciated. Thank, Jim Wehren

This is exactly why we quit going to Yuma. The Texas Gulf Coast has a whole lot more to offer and the RV Parks/Resorts, etc. are a lot better priced.

Where on the Texas Gulf would you recommend? Might be possible. Jim W.

During our full-timing years we wintered in Yuma twice. Like you our last time there was two years ago. The wind conditions were so bad during our first month we decided to head south down the border towns in texas. We spent two weeks at the military RV park in Del Rio, TX and explored the whole area. We came down US-285 & US-90, both were in excellent condition at the time. If you like fishing, the clear waters of Lake Amistad will surely get your attention. We toured a few of the local civilian RV parks and found this one - under construction - and knew by the layout that it would be ( RV Park Del Rio Texas, Local Attractions, Lake Amistad, Broke Mill RV Park, RV Campground, RV Spaces, RV Storage, Free Wireless Internet ) an excellent choice for a long term visit.

There are 228 RV parks in and around the Yuma area, surely that much competition would keep some the parks reasonable. I stayed there once a few years ago and vowed to never return.

Reasonable sites may be found out in the foothills region. You are 20+ miles from Yuma though.

We have found that Cocopah RV and Golf resort to be less than $500/month plus electricity. All the amenities except WiFi, internet available at the library. Large library, woodshop, crafts, pool, etc.
Abig plus for us is the 21/2 acre doggie park. It is located on the Cocopah Reservation so no taxes and is about 4 miles from downtown.
