This campground is 10 miles from Irving but it is nice or it was before it was flooded last year.

Sandy Lake just North of Irving in Carrolton isn't bad. 1915 Sandy Lake Rd, Carrollton, TX 75006. Not much else around that area.

I think there is one called Treetops in Arlington and one called Traders Village near the swap meets in Grand Prairie. I think both are also near 6 Flags but have not stayed at either.

The above-mentioned Vineyards in Grapevine, TX would be the nicest and close to Irving. It's pricey though. We always stayed there to visit daughter when it was a Corp of Engineer campground and a LOT cheaper.

X2 on the Vineyards. Nice. Also Lake Lewisville SP. But no sewer hookups.

We are in Irving a lot visiting my daughter. We have found the best place to stay that is close and very affordable is Lewisville Lake Park Campground operated by City of Lewisville. Contact info and reservations, 972-219-3742. 50 and 30 amp, on the lake. No full hookups but nice area with free wifi. Over 60 discount-$9.00 per night,(50 amp) Only $18 if not 60. Check out website at Visit Lewisville : Camping

I believe Vineyards is still under water or water repair. It was a great park.
