Try Brunswick GA. We just stayed on James Island in James Island County Park in Charleston SC. But thats a ways north of St. Simons but it puts you near Savannah and Charleston too. Try looking on RVparkreviews.com. They have maps that may help locate something.

Probably not for the long stay, but it worked very nice for our three day visit to the area. Welcome to Golden Isles RV Park

We just spent 9 days at the Jekyll Island Campground. Jekyll Island is south of St. Simons. Enjoyed the stay and lots to do on Jekyll but the campground was dirty. The roads were not paved and the dust was black.

You may try Blythe Island Regional Park which was good in years past.
