RV Site for next summer near Denver

Hello, For the last two summers we stayed in the Jellystone RV Park near Montrose Colorado--- and is really fine -- but we wanted to see if there was as good an RV park somewhere else ( within 6 hours from Denver).
We store our 5th wheel in Colorado for the winter -- and use it JUNE, JULY and AUGUST.
We would like to stay at the same RV park for all three month ( with reasonable monthly rates) in 2015. And if possible store it there for the winter.
Since this is the time we are able to spend with our grandchildren - there must be a pool and other activities.
Additionally we would like to be somewhat close to outdoor activities, parks, hikes, wildlife .....
If anyone knows of a nice RV park that may fit this --- please let me know.

Chatfield State Park - rates are very reasonable, they have full hook up sites, nice views, no sites are too close to each other and on the south-west side of Denver. Book your reservations EARLY!! You wait until the last minute you will get nothing just because it is so nice and close to Denver.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort. #1 rated cabin resort & campgrounds in Colorado. Best campground for camping in the Springs.

It is a great CG between Colorado Springs and Cannon City. Extra Large sites, nice landscaping, friendly folks, computer room, large screen TV.
Your Passport America is good for 5 days. Visit Pikes Peak, Royal George, and Cripple Creek.

Chatfield has a 14 day limit. Flying saucer RV park is on 285 about 10 minutes from downtown Denver. They also have storage.

It does indeed have a 14 day limit, however, the most you might have to do is leave for a "day" (i.e., from check out to check in times) and even maybe even have to move a space or two. Planning! and reservations in advance!

Chatfield is $26/day vs. $37.71/day. If I would have to move every 2 weeks, so be it for that much savings. YES, the monthly fees are less at the other place, but you also have to lay down a deposit for electric. Personally, I would go for the state park, if for no other reason than the space between sites, but that is just me.

All Colorado state parks limit your stay in a particular park to 14 days AND you can't return to that park for 45 days. There is another park basically in Denver called Cherry Creek and from one first hand report I have been told it is very similar to Chatfield and would be a short drive. We stayed our limit at chatfield last year and we loved the park and the location.

And I can second the recommendation for Mountaindale. It is one of the most well maintained private parks I have seen. If you want quiet - it is great (just get a spot away from the road).

RV sites within 6 driving hours of Denver

Hello, Thanks for the input, I will be looking into each of those parks.

I was also wondering if any good parks with reasonable monthly rates for June, July and August, and a swimming pool are in the Steamboat Springs or Aspen or Glenwood springs areas

I don't think they have a pool, but they do have sites right on the Colorado River. Just a couple of miles from Glenwood Springs. It is not remote enough for me, but a nice place none the less.
