We go to Saint Augustine every late Dec-early Jan. for the Christmas Lites, they really do it up !!!! We stay at a Faver-Dykes State Park,we have a week reservered in early Dec. now. But really remote, 2.5 mile dirt road into, and your rig would never fit. We have also stayed at Anastasia, nice, but again, going to be tight for you rig.

If you make it, Amici's Italian Restaurant "GREAT" , early bird special great for TT Geezers on a budget like us !

So glad I read this thread. We got lucky and got 2 nights at Stagecoach. Great campground. Just spent our 1st day exploring downtime. Can't wait till tomorrow. Had an early dinner at Pizzalley, 2 for one drinks and a slice of pizza per person for happy hour M-F, plus a discount on a pizza order. Great food. Loved the downtown area and Fort.

Too bad Bryn Mawr is full. We stayed there a month ago and really enjoyed it. We have stayed there three or four times over the years.

We purchased a two pass on the Trolley System that lets you park at the Ripley Museum. That worked out well as you can get on and off anytime you want and a trolley will come to each stop on average every twenty minutes.

Just stayed three nights at the Stagecoach. On Saturday around 7:30PM I stopped at the St. Augustine Flying J at exit 305 to fill the dingy and there had to be twenty RV's parked there with some with slides open and others with people sitting on chairs outside. This morning around 11AM on my way South stopped by to gas up the motor home and there was several RV's among the Rv's stopping there for fuel, etc that appeared to have been there overnight. There is fourteen RV parking slots and room around the edge of the lot for 10 more RVs. The place seems to be very overnight friendly. Something to keep in mind for those times you need a place to stay for an extra night when everywhere else is full.

Problem solved...unfortunately!

Sandee has come down with a stomach virus and we are cancelling our plans to got to the Kennedy Space Center and instead hunker down at our spot in Polk City, FL until the day we can check into Stage Coach.

Thanks for all the ideas and perhaps those will be of use in the future or for others.
