When I traveled through Salt Lake, we stayed at the state park on the shore of the great salt lake.
I think is called Antelope State Park. Not sure how close it is to down town.

You can try the fairgrounds but I don't recall much ring offered for RVs. There is a relatively new RV park just a couple miles northwest of downtown off I-15 and I-215. Can't recall the name but it's about the closest you are going to find to downtown.

We stayed there. Very convenient, not a bad place.

I stayed at the koa early this summer. It was about 2 miles from downtown. Pretty good park. Lots of construction in front of the park but I easily managed it in my 40 DP.

We stayed at Pony Express RV Park two years ago on our way to Yellowstone. Very clean park with level concrete pads. Very easy access off 215. Nice pool also.

We stayed here also. Then have shuttle service to temple square. Do have construction going on on Central Ave, but had no problem getting in or out with our rig.

We liked Pony Express and found it convenient to downtown.

When I moved to SLC last summer i lived in my tt at the KOA for 3 months waiting for my house to close. The staff was very friendly and the park was clean. This is one KOA I would recommend from my extended stay there.
