Just came back from Blazing Star RV resort and enjoyed our stay. But we have a 40' DP pulling a toad and found their regular sites too skinny for a pleasant and simple stay. They have lots of trees (nice!) but the sites are too narrow unless you get a premium site. We had a premium site for much if our trip and it was great.

Last year we tried to stay at the San Antonio KOA. It was a very nice park right beside the river, but we had an emergency evac due to many days of heavy rain--the river rose and we got out of there just in time! I plan to go back there again, but not if it's been too rainy!!

Stayed at travelers rv park in San Antonio it is 5 mile from the river walk & Alamo. Now I wouldn't call it a resort but it was ok for us. Easy to catch city bus right at park. $1.20 gets you to river walk.

San Antonio is a large place with terrible traffic. Specifically what do you hope to see, do - etc. It's also "season" driven and you said nothing about "when" you planned to go...........

X2 on Travelers World. It was a nice clean place. It is close to downtown. If we went back to San Antonio we would stay there again.

If you go to Travelers, don't enter on East Southcross Blvd. from I37. The RR tracks at South Presa St. can damage your rear flap (I know from experience) and a 40+ footer may get high centered...

X3 on Travelers World and Southcross Blvd. we just left there a couple of weeks ago and had a great stay. The staff, management and guests in that park are top notch. Plus you are a hop, skip and jump to downtown. We will definitely return.

We stayed at the San Antonio KOA over Thanksgiving. fairly level gravel site, good utilities, clean laundry and good dog walks areas plus fenced dog play area. campground has gate closed at night. it is minutes to the ATT Center and a straight shot on surface roads to downtown. We would stay here again.

We stayed at the KOA twice and would do it again. Nice facility, IMO.

We have reservations at Blazing Star for the holidays, Nov 2014 - Jan 2015. How was the internet connectivity there? They are advertising free wifi now. This park has unusually harsh cancellation policies and in the past wifi cost extra. Just trying to get info on how it is now.
