San Diego Bound
We are going to go to San Diego, around the end of July...
Where would be a good RV Park or Resort to stay, about 4 days catching the Zoo and other Major attractions...

Retired Military? Nice FAMCAMPS in San Diego. Be sure to visit aircraft carrier Midway.

First choice is adults only Bernardo Shores. Second would be Chula Vista RV. Reserve way ahead of time.

If you don't want/need hook ups and want to Camp right on the beach right at sand level check out Silver Strand State Park. It's about 5 miles south of Coronado. It's only a Asphalt parking lot type RV park but you are literally right on the beach. I don't know the name of it but right south of that park is another FHU park we pass driving to the State Park. It's located in Imperial Beach if you Google it you'll find it or look on Google Earth and start at Coronado and follow the road south and you' ll see both parks.

Chula Vista RV and Marina. Right on the bay. Near downtown, zoo, parks, etc. Very nice. Chula Vista RV Park & Resort in San Diego, CA | RV Camping

The Chula Vista/San Diego KOA in my opinion is the best deal. Large sites, lots of grass and trees. Two doggie areas. Close to a 4 mile (one way) bike path and only 6=7 miles to downtown, Zoo, and other features of Balboa Park. I stay there for a month each winter for the last 5 years.

Bernardo Shores in Imperial Beach at the tip of the Silver Strand just a few miles from Coronado.
