Glad you're aboard. Sorry I can't give you any tips on the Baha. I'm sure others will post with info. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

I have not rv'ed in Mexico, but the couple we purchased our Monaco from several months back, lived in Pheonix and took the coach to Mexico or a regular bases (multiple trips a month). I looked at the map but couldn't find anyplace that reminded me of the name of the beach they went to, it was right on the water.

They ended up purchasing a condo in Mexico and sold us their RV . We were temped to take it down and visit them as they talked about it so much and obviously enjoyed it very much. I think they said it was about 100 miles or less from their front door in Pheonix to the RV park in Mexico, I checked and it is a bit further to San Felipe so it must be more north than what your thinking. If you do go, I hope you post some reviews.

There are many sites w/ info on Mexico RVing. Just Google it. We have been to Mexico on the mainland side many times (Bahia Kino for one as well as Puerto Penasco, and Mazatlan). It a great country w/ wonderful people and fantastic beaches. You will need to get Mexican insurance(liability) www.rv.net/forum has all the info you will need. Go to the mexico forum

Try googling for Baja Nomads website. We gleaned tons of info for our planned Nov to Jan trip. Really useful and reassuring info there.

Unfortunately due to the recent Hurricane that hit Cabos San Lucas (We were so looking forward to swim/snorkel with the whale sharks), and the reports of much increased crime due to the devastation and desperation of many, we've postponed it until things stablise again.

Of course first and foremost our heartfelt thoughts are with those affected directly by this sad event.

Wow! San Felipe. For me that's a real blast from the past. I grew up in Imperial Beach, Ca., and as a kid we would go down there for the fishing. That was in the late 50's early 60's when the road south of Rosarita Beach was dirt all the way to the tip of the Baja.

Rocky Point in Puerto Penasco Mexico. About 90 miles in from the border crossing at Lukeville AZ. Have not been there YET but planning to go.

I rode a dirt bike, YZ400C, from Mike's Sky Ranch to San Felipe and back with Barry Goldwater Jr back in the 70's. Had a great time and I had no problems but that was a few years ago.

There's a dry camp site on the beach at Pete's camp 7km north of the town, google Pete's camp. Also a full service rv park south of town http://www.clubdepescarvpark.com/. We are down there from Nov to April. Enjoy!!!
