Just wanted everyone to know that Santa Barbara is the most unfriendly town for RVs.They have signs everywhere "No RV Parking".Beautiful town, but they don't want us around. All the campgrounds are packed in like sardines for atleast 50$ a nite, with nothing but a toilet and shower.Storage starts at 150$.Used to be my favorite town till I came here in a 30 ft rv.Too rich for my blood.

Santa Barbara RV Resort, Campground, RV Park, Solvang, CA This place up the road in Buellton is very nice. It has a variety of sites in differing price ranges.

This is not Santa Barbara RV Park, its Flying Flags RV Resort in Beullton, which is a 45 minute to 1 hour drive south and east to Santa Barbara. Its a nice area; lots to see and do. Pricey tho. As previously posted, SB is NOT RV friendly. There are a couple state parks in the area: El Capitan and Refugio. http://www.parks.ca.gov/pages/24317/...pinventura.pdf

If you are planning to stay more than overnights, here is a technique for finding phone numbers for ALL the mobile home parks in an area. Many mobile home parks take weekly or monthly RV rentals. Santa Barbara is a VERY DESIREABLE AREA so everything might be full there - I the suggest you try Oxnard, Camarillo or other nearby spots.

Here is the technique:
1) go to: Local.Yahoo.com
2) In the middle of the page you will see a blue highlighted "Change location" text. Click on that, and enter the location you are interested in to move the Yahoo Local page to that location.
3)Click on "Directory".
4) Click on "Real Estate" (trust me).
5)On the left hand side under "Real Estate Categories" click on "Mobile Home Parks".
6) You will then get a pretty complete listing the mobile home parks in the area with addresses and phone numbers.

You can also check on the local edition of Craigslist under "Parking /Storage" at the top of the page. Around here (Sacramento) besides all of the storage ads I see ads there for Mobile Home/RV park sites with monthly offers.
