Before everyone starts, yes, I have researched every park on several sites for Santa Fe campgrounds. I'm not asking anyone to do searches for me, but if you have stayed in a campground in that area that has a little nice green grass.....let me know about it. Everything I've seen is concrete or gravel or no pics at all (which I avoid-no pics are usually a bad omen) which is not my preference. Yes, I know it's "Santa Fe". State or National parks are not an option with my Phaeton and toad. So if you've stayed in the area and have firsthand knowledge, I'd love to hear from you....could stay even in Taos.

Santa Fe Skies is pretty nice but don't remember much grass there. Some great views, though.

I would say that it is going to be hard to find grass this time of the year. You would have a much better chance in Taos in late April. In may anything around Angle Fire or Eagle Nest would be GREEN.

With our 40' MH and toad we stay at Cochiti Lake Corps of Engineers. It's a short drive to Santa Fe. We park the car at the city bus depot and taking the bus to all attractions and is the best way to sitesee. It's hard to find a parking spot in the city. The campground has the bus schedules and all info. There are some 50A - big sites and a lot of 30A, water and good dump station. The sites and restrooms are fairly new and the scenery is gorgeous.
If you're heading north from there toward Pagosa Springs, CO, take 84 and there's another beautiful Corp campground - Abiquiu Lake. It's in the painter's Georgia O'Keefe country. It's an excellent highway for big rigs.

Okay.....and I thought I covered all the bases. How about someplace with winter burned grass.....I know it's a little too early there for green grass. Just someplace that is not red crushed stone, gravel or concrete. I do like the concrete to park on

I stayed at Santa Fe Skies last year and the Los Suenos De Santa Fe RV Park a couple of years ago. I would stay at Santa Fe Skies again. There isn't much grass around Santa Fe any time of the year.

I'm in Los Suenos right now, and across the street fromTrailer Ranch. The former is nothing special, but has a lot of space. Gravel spots and a dirt area at back (with maybe grass in Summer to walk dog). There is a long asphalt exercise path on the other side of the arroyo. Kind of expensive, but looking at the overnighters, not a lot of choices.

Trailer Ranch doesn't look much better except that they have trees. Back half of park is a trailer park; small RV area up front.

Casino parking north and south of town. What looks to be a pretty nice park in Pojaque to the north near Buffalo Thunder casino.

This IS NOT a grass type of part of the country...sorry. But SF is a neat town and trips north to Taos and Rancho de Chimayo are great as is Bandolier.

Des Estrella del Norte Winery in Pojaque (40 years ago DW lived there) has a great Pinot Noir (won awards at Finger Lakes festival) and Holy Mole (hint of red chili).
