Are reservations needed? We're headed to that area in a couple of weeks. Are the campground sites on the water?

I would highly recommend the high road from Santa Fe to Taos, then do the Enchanted Circle. You will not be disappointed. I cannot remember the name of the RV park in Taos, but is is near the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. I also recommend Michael's Kitchen in Taos, great food. There is so much to see and do in the area and it will not cost you an arm and leg if you stay away from the tourist activities. In Albq check out the Owl Cafe, and visit Old Town.

Dewey, glad you are here. Did you get the rig all ready to roll? This is a great site with a lot of information. We do need to get together. I am not sure how many of the runs I will be able to do, but I sure wanted to do the one in Sept. Welcome to the site.
