We will be in the Santa Fe/Taos area in early to mid-October (going back home from midwest - Kansas, Okla, MO and maybe into Tenn). Any recommendations on campgrounds in that area? Thanks.

We just left Taos this morning after spending a week at Monte Bello RV Park. It is about 5-6 miles northwest of town, so you avoid in-town congestion. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our site. Price was better than some of the others in the area at about $30 after the 15% Escapees discount.

Maybe a little late answering this one, but you can check out Trailer Ranch ( in Santa Fe) its a 55+ community and really nice folks running the park as well as the folks staying there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out. We leave the day after Labor day.
