Santee state park in sc

Just made our reservations for a quick weekend trip to santee for April 20th. We have never stayed here before but we are meeting friends ( about 6 other couples) there to chill out.

A beautiful park. We stayed in the 2nd section near the boat ramp and Info/check in last fall for a week. The only problem we had was with the water level in the lake so low. We had to be careful with our bass boat to keep it off the submerged stumps. It is definitely on our list for this summer. We'll be back.

I am debating on leaving the toad at home and bringing the pontoon with us.

You can check the lake level on line. It should be on the way up for Spring and Summer. The boat ramp is excellent so no problems there. Have a great time and enjoy the beautiful out doors.

Santee in April

The last time I was at Santee was 1991 in April. I went out with a guide and couldn't find a bass to save ourselves. We could see them, but they were all on the beds and were not interested in biting. Only got one there.

But it is a nice place. We had plans to try to stay there this year, but because of other things never got down South.

Going to the Outer Banks this April, 3rd week. Waves Camp Ground. Maybe I can connect with a Striper that didn't want to migrate north.

Ronald casper wilderness park in San Juan Capisrrano CA last weekend. I got the very last available site. This place was full but you'll never feel it. Spaces were far enough apart and bunch of trees in between. Great quick get away.
