Skidaway Island State Park, KOA in Richmond Hill off I-95, Redgate Farms, Fort McCallister State Park in Richmond Hill. Last but not least, Rivers End on Tybee Island. All are nice parks. Depends on how far you want to drive to Savannah.

We stayed at the Savannah South KOA for a week. Large pond is nice, far enough from the roads to be fairly quiet.

We stay at Hardeeville when in the area. It is a Passport America park with few restrictions. Not much for children to do but it is very close to the Savannah Historical District. Not fancy but the price is right. We have stayed at Skidaway and though it is a favorite for many, it is not ours. Narrow two way roads and you better watch which loop you go through looking for your site if you have a big rig. Office staff was not helpful in directing us to a loop that would accommodate our rig. It would be a nightmare if you encountered another rig coming the opposite direction. Someone would have to back up.
