Yeah , the ski resort parking lot . They apparently have a section set aside for RV's at i think $20 a night . No power ofcourse , just wondering if anyone had tried it . I'm thinking i might use it between Christmas and New Years .

Too bad it didn't have power. Some of the ski resorts in Western NY & PA. have RV sites with power. Yes, staying in your own bed at a ski resort over the X-Mas break will be the most economic way to go. They all double the lodging rates over the X-Mas break....I was quoted $1100 for 2 nights at a WV resort over the X-Mas break.

Was that Snowshoe ??? By any chance??? Wow...

I learned to ski at Winterplace in the 80's when they had a twilight ski and rentals deal for something like $30... Worked out well for us college kids....

Ya, Snowshoe...And that was for a Junior Suite. They still wanted $1000 for 2 nights before the weekends leading up to X-mas for two adults and one 17 year old. They used to have great deals before Christmas, but this year they went to a different pricing plan. There has been a bunch of new lodging built in the last 10 years since Intrawest bought them.

Last year we caught a deal at a small Western NY resort (Peek-n-Peak) where you bought the room at the base hotel and received free lift tickets before Dec 24th. Went the first weekend they opened in Dec. to 3 feet of new snow. Everyone was out Christmas shopping and skied fresh tracks all weekend....
