Seattle and area

Greetings, we are planning on a trip to Seattle and looking on staying on the north side, out to the Everett area. Anyone have any suggestions and recommendations on sites to stay (at least a week). Thanks for any ideas

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Last summer we were up that way and spent a few days at Lake Pleasant RV Resort near Everett. Very nice place and nice people. We'll stay there again.

Best of luck.

Rick

hi griffey:

yes - very limited places in the area
we've found Lake Pleasant to be "the pick of the litter"
its where we stay

There are a few options in the area, all depends on your own preferences - looks like your towing a trailer...Do you want full hook ups or is power and water ok? Are you travelling with a family? or want something a little more quiet? Do you want to stay in the same site or intend on moving further south as time permits? Are you OK camping in town or prefer more rural?

There are few options until you get north of Everett or south of Tacoma. Lake Pleasent is probably your best bet. Personally I would go into Skagit county and take day trips into Seattle. Maybe Lacey at Eagles Nest and day trip from the south.

Thanks we are traveling with kids and have to go in to seattle every day. We could do without hookups but would prefer full hookup for this trip, it would make it a bit more convenient.

There is a KOA fairly close to downtown Seattle - might be worth checking out. We have stayed at Dash Point state park south of Seattle and really enjoyed it(is close to 6 Flags amusment parks)
