Seattle, can the forum solve this one???

Good evening all. I have a class that I will be attending mid June at Talaris Center, near the Seattle Children's Hospital. I am looking for a parking spot with 30 amps, minimum. I need to be within 30 min of Talaris center. Every "park" I've looked at is full or has garbage reviews.

Hoping a local will have some knowledge that the internet does not.

TIA,

Kevin

A little sparce on info that people might be able to help.

- How long are you staying, a day, a week, multiple months?
- How long is your rig?
- What type is your rig?
- Rates obviously less important to you than garbage reviews?

Staying a week in June. My trailer is 32', the truck adds 20'

I did find a place in Everett that doesn't have great reviews, but not horrible either.

Travel time to Talaris Center is my only concern. 30-45 min each way.

Nothing special, good freeway access.

Last Summer, we stayed at the Seattle/Tacoma KOA in Kent that has only a 4.9 (out of 10) rating on RVParkReviews (iRV2 sister site)...
Kent, Washington Campground | Seattle / Tacoma KOA
...don't really understand the poor reviews.

It is a typical urban-area RV park...yes, busy...yes, small sites...yes, busy office...did I mention that - yes, it is busy?
Take a look at Google Maps and you can see it is not as small as some would complain:
https://www.google.com/maps/@47.4117...!3m1!1e3?hl=en

And, it was exactly what we expected. The best part is the location is easy to get to everything. But, unlike some other urban RV parks, it is very convenient, easy to drive to, and quiet.

We were allowed to park our toad off the RV spot (apron parking near the entry-drive). Made coming going much easier. Would surely be a request if we were in a towable with a pick-up as our local wheels.

Like with any urban area - avoid the commute hours. 30 minutes will double during the commute

Best luck

We have stayed at Lakeside RV Park in Everett. It was OK but pretty crowded.

Maple Grove next door is a little more upscale, I think. They do have restrictions. Either of these are well over your 30 minute constraint, especially during rush hour.

Lake Pleasant in Bothell would most likely be the closest with a good reputation. We have not stayed there but I consistently see good reviews and recommendations. The commute would be mostly on arterials rather than the freeway. I estimate that it is 15-20 miles and will still take more than a half hour.

I ended up booking at Maple Grove. I get to take my family and not be in a hotel.... a little extra travel time will be worth a couple of extra days and evenings with them.

If you don't mind a little drive, check out Lake Pleasant in Bothell.

Look at the City owned RV park in Enumclaw. It is a really nice park, has 50 amp/water hook ups. We stayed there two years ago and they were going to put in sewer, but not sure if they did yet. As I remember it was about an easy 45 minute drive into Seattle. The park is attached to the County Fair grounds and is only busy a few times a year. There were about 50 sites, and only about 10 campers when we were there. All spots have nice level cement slabs with a nice size grass area on the patio side of your MH. It was a really clean, quiet spot to stay, and located centrally for good day drive sightseeing

Heck. Seattle allows you to park an live on most any of its streets in an RV. It's true boon docking but you see it all over town. Some even put flower pots out.
