Secret camping spots...

Who has a secret hideaway spot? I found this one last weekend, and I will surely make myself a regular there. There are only two sites with hookups, owned by the super nice and friendly guy across the street. $30/night or $300/mo. Includes 30A/Water/Sewer. Includes satellite TV too. When I was there, we had it to ourselves. On the New River in the mountains of VA. I'll never tell where.

We gathered up wood from the shoreline and burned it in the fire pit.

No fair! I live close to the Ne River and would love to find a spot that's not so crowded.

Please share location. Message if you don't want to put in forum. Desparate for a smaller, lesser used campground, especially on the river.

I grew up in Pembroke and the house does look familiar but can't place it yet. I do not have any friends with campers, so no convoy to head to the CG.

Thing is, I'm not sure the guy that owns it wants it advertised. He had a person that had rented both spots for the entire summer (4 months) coming in the next day after we left. The only reason I was able to get it was because I contacted him about buying the adjascent property, which he has for sale. Another good reason not to tell you vultures where it is.

I told him if I owned that property where we camped (which is huge) I'd have about 20 big FHU rv sites on it.

Cloaking device... works on 300,000 ton Klingon battle cruisers, should work on a 10 ton RV

Awesome! Post a picture if it won't give away the location.

I found a boondocking spot on the new river trail that is free (donations to the local VFD are accepted at a lock box as you enter) I'll be there next week.
