Sedona - RV Park near(ish)

Looking for opinions and options in the area around Sedona.

Traveling in mid Nov with a 37' Class "A" with toad and meeting another couple in a similar RV. Would prefer hook-ups.

Munds RV park has bad reviews...is this still the case?

A search shows only old (2011 and 2007) info.

Many thanks~

There is Zane Grey, and Rancho Sedona that are in Sedona that have good reviews. Haven't stayed there yet but will this spring. Great area to explore in.

Zane Grey is in Camp Verde but does qualify for "nearish".

Quite correct. My mistake. Thanks. Been awhile since I was there.

If you are a Encore/Thousand Trails member. Verde Valley in Cottonwood was nice (in 2008).

Rancho Sedona is, in our opinion the only place to stay in Sedona. It is very nice but nothing overly special, however it us virtually downtown yet set in a nice tranquil setting by the river. It is not cheap with varying rates depending on your choice of location and they have a surcharge for pets.

Forgot to add.....this a very busy time in Sedona and since Rancho is the only game in town so to speak .....you will need to phone ahead and make reservations.

We have stayed on 78 & 84. Really like 84 especially with pets. All gravel.

Suggest you visit their web-site. The web-site has all the prices and a map. Site 84 is the #1 best site so is heavily reserved. Any of the other. "Purple" executive sites along Oak creek are also very nice.

We always stay at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood. It's a fast, easy drive to Sedona. Electric hookups but no sewer. There is a dump station. It's a huge park, hiking, fishing, big sites and beautiful views. Our 40' motorhome fits just fine.

Ditto this. We stayed at Rancho Sedona and it is very quiet with lots of shade trees. It is less than 1/4 mile from the main street going through Sedona.
