Seeking Recommendations: Area of Jacksonville, Florida -
On the back-end of N/E US Tour this coming summer, our travel plan has us passing through the Jacksonville, FL area (from Hilton Head, SC onto IH-10 westward).
We're looking for a good rated RV resort or park in or near the Jacksonville FL area as a stopover for a few days. Most of what we're finding appear to be older parks that have full-time residents, i.e. trailer parks which our experience tells us is not what we're wanting.
We'd like a nice quiet resort type location that offers paved sites, 50-amp FHUs, as well as nice landscaping, etc. Don't want to listen to Jets flying in and out and over our heads from JAX.
Any suggestions?

Stagecoach down in St Augustine or Flamingo Lake in Jax depending on time of year quiet without kids.

Flamingo Lake is appealing because it is a place that is pretty easy to go to some nice places. I don't particularly like its ambiance. Very easy to get to my favorite place in all of Florida - Fernandina beach. You can get to Stl Augustine in an hour. Jax beaches are pretty good for restaurants, bars etc.
Hanna Park is good place to stay in my opinion. I would choose it over Flamingo but i am not that familiar with Flamingo other than its location. Years ago I spent many a day at Hannah.

Saint Augustine KOA is pretty decent and they have a shuttle to get to town if you want to see some of the sights.
Flamingo Lake is OK for a few nights although we don't use it much since it's in our backyard.
Hanna Park is city owned and good depending on the time of the year and it's not real expensive. Probably best for seeing the sights in Jacksonville.
West on I-10 just past I-75 is the Suwannee River Music park. Nice park with a canoe outpost if you're into floating down the river.
Stagecoach mentioned earlier is good and very convenient to I-95 but not close enough for any noise issues.

I think you would have a hard time getting your Newmar Essex in Hanna Park.
Pecan Park would probably be your best choice. Its closer to Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach.

Compass RV Park in St. Augustine is nice. I'm there right now. It's clean and convenient to I-95 (exit 311).

I'm going to x² what others have said:
The BEST places to stay in Jax are in St. Augustine!
