Seven Feathers RV resort

The Mrs and I are spending the night at 7 Feathers in Canyonville, Oregon. Fabulous place, clean, sharp, squared away operation. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They have a very nice indoor pool and spa (we gave it a test spash). Highly recommend this one.

We stay there every time we head south. Too bad it is usually in Jan or Feb, cause the weather is not the warmest then. Beautiful park and friendly people. Don't forget to go over and donate at the casino

We took our maiden voyage there a few weeks ago and really loved it! Also, close by is the wildlife safari... and Abacela Winery. Both are highly recommended for something to do if wanting to get away from the casino. Also, be sure to get a players card at the casino for an extra % off your stay. Unfortunately they didn't tell us that until we were checking out. After losing about $250 the least I could have done was get a players card!

I was born and raised in that little wide spot in the road. As kids growing up we had no idea that Canyonville would get on the map with a Casino! My Dad worked on the old hwy 99 when it was first widened and then at the Hanna Nickle mine in Riddle, OR. I have wonderful memories of riding my bike all over that little place, picking black berries and playing in the woods just behind our house. Hwy 99/I-5 was widened even more in 1995 and our house property was bought out by the State to widen the south exit for the city. Our home was then burned down after purchase. My Dad built it by hand so I remember as a small boy crying when the fire dept. burned it down. Folks in the town called it the 'round house' because it over looked the little town and had a round veranda on the second floor. burned it down. We moved to Tri City, OR and I completed the 8-12 grades there at South Umpqua High School. That was about a hundred years ago! LOL

Also, the casino players card will get you a discount on fuel at the station there.
