In today's world of internet, their web site is their first in line sales pitch............so the web site says a lot most of the time..........as I would venture to guess that their web page brings the 90% or better of their business. A web page of me tells me the story up front.........and if they can't maintain that.........
I always open the campground/resort lay out map, having it to refer to, then I search it on Google earth, paying attention to the sun's path, measuring the sites, even checking to see how level the site is along with checking the terrain of the place to see how flat or hilly it is.

My number one - no photos of the RV sites, I'll move on and look for something else. I don't care about all the photos of people I don't know enjoying the Halloween party. I want to know if I'll have good access to and will fit on their sites.

I use rvparkreviews.com to find and book most of our stays and it has worked well so far. One of my pet peeves is RV parks that do not allow you to book a site via their website.

In 15 years, (121,000 miles), with this, (my 3rd coach), I have never booked a site without seeing it with my own eyes

Results of Poll

First I would like to thank all of you who took the time to respond to the Poll we ran. The results are in from 3 different RVers Forums and I wanted to post the results. After counting the number of posts that actually provided one of the four answers we had 126 entries.

Again thanks for your time as it is appreciated.

We also use RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks and very much appreciate the reviews of those who participate. We just began beginning our reviews with "I camped here in a 45' motorhome" to better help those who travel in true big rigs as we are finding (now that we have been out for the first time for more than 90 days) that many parks that claim to be big rig friendly are not!

***Because of the above, I very recently emailed rvparkreviews customer support asking them to create on their website a state by state list of the top 100 highest rated rv parks to help those of us who search for true resorts / high quality parks. If this sounds like a something you too would like to see, please also email them They acknowledged they liked the idea and would forward to their website developers, but as we all know, there is power in numbers!

I'm active reviewer on Campgroundviews.com I'll average 10-15 pictures plus my review of the campground. My photos include: main road into campground, road between sites, some campsites, bathroom, laundry, dump station....

I believe they are shortly going to post Google View inside many campgrounds. I think they are starting with some national parks. So you can get a 360 degree view of each campsite. That will be a big help in reserving a site.
